My newest quilt

I finally have gotten my big star quilt together. It's so big 110x110~ I had to take it outside on the driveway to sandwich the monster together. I think it turned out nice but I"m not sure about the placement of the stars. Well, it's together now and I'm not changing it, I've quilted the stars already. I did a stippling using a yellow rayon shinny thread.

I have begun quilting the 9 patches using a purple rayon. This one is tough under the machine, but thank goodness for the cooler air coming in, since I had to sit under the quilt to hold it up.
I'm also working on my Baby blocks quilt, and will post a picture next time. I also am working on a yoyo quilt using the new clover yoyo gadget. It's looking great all 1053 yoyos..so far!

I'm very new at blogging, althought I have seen a few, and thought about doing one. Well, here I am, and hopefully I will have some interesting things to show you. I make quilts and fabric art pieces, and that is what I enjoy in my small amount of free time.

Our weather has been so nice today- it was warm~ and tomorrow will be even nicer- 80 degrees. This afternoon, I came home and walked the dog. He is an evil little mix of Dachshund
and Chihuahua, which makes him a very sweet dog with an attitude. He barks at the horses like he could kick them into tomorrow, but he is less than 1 10th their size.

Today I did finish some quilting- sort of. I had made this baby blocks lap quilt, by hand, and today I finished sewing up the edges, and actually quilted one block on the quilt..this one will take a while. It's the third one that I have made. I made one for my grandson Justin, and one for Ryan, his brother. Hopefully they'll last them a long time!
